Image tools
Three tools for images and the files around them. They run in your browser tab, need no account, and do not upload your files.
Size and format
Make an image smaller, change its format, or fit it to a size.
Before you share
Remove hidden information from a file.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Open a tool and use it. Nothing here asks you to sign up or log in.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The images are redrawn and saved in your browser tab. They are not sent to our server, and closing the tab clears them.
Does compressing an image lose quality?
JPG and WebP are lossy, so they always lose some detail, and lower settings lose more. Compare the result with the original before you use it. PNG keeps every pixel, and the tool makes a PNG smaller by reducing its resolution.
Which formats can I use?
The tools read JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP, and save JPG, PNG or WebP. They cannot open HEIC photos from an iPhone. An animated GIF keeps only its first frame.
Does the Metadata Cleaner remove everything?
It removes the metadata stored in a file, such as EXIF and GPS data in photos, document info and XMP in PDFs, and tags and cover art in audio. It does not change what the file shows or says, so a name in the text of a PDF or a face in a photo is still there.
How many images can I do at once?
Up to 24 in Compress and Convert, 20 in Resize and Crop, and 16 files of up to 80 MB each in the Metadata Cleaner.
