What the YouTube calculators on this site are (and are not)
Earnings, CTR, growth, RPM, sponsorship, and “viral” scores are arithmetic on numbers you type. They are not Studio, not an API, and not a guarantee.

This site has a lot of YouTube calculators. That is a risk: fifteen pages that all look like “enter numbers, get a future.” Google’s quality rater, and a human AdSense reviewer, are right to be suspicious of that pattern. So here is the inventory in plain language — what each class of tool computes, and the sentence we will not print.
The shared rule
Every calculator is arithmetic on values you type. None of them log into YouTube. None of them scrape Social Blade. None of them predict that a video will go viral, hit a RPM, or unlock monetization on a date. If Studio disagrees, Studio is correct.
Teaching bands (niche CPM ranges, “often 3–8 minutes for tutorials”) are labels to learn with. They are not live market data.
Money sketches
- Earnings — (views/1000) × CPM × 0.55. The 55% is a common ad-share sketch.
- RPM / CPM — RPM from revenue÷views, or a reverse CPM via that same 0.55. See RPM vs CPM.
- Sponsorship, affiliate, merch, platform ROI — talk-range or unit-margin sketches. Not a media kit from an agency, not a live print-on-demand catalog.
Pace and gaps
Growth, milestones, monetization tracker, and watch time take a current number, a target, and a linear pace. “At this many subs per week, the 1,000-sub line is N weeks away” is grade-school division. Real channels are not linear. There is no countdown clock we invented, and the 1k/4k Partner Program numbers can change in YouTube’s own policies.
Rates people confuse with quality
CTR is clicks÷impressions. Engagement is (likes+comments+shares)÷views if you enter shares. Viral “potential” is a weighted mash of early metrics you typed. None of these is a forecast. A high CTR with a bad title that lies will still tank retention. We do not score thumbnails from a neural net.
Best-time-to-post is niche teaching windows, not your audience graph. File size and word count are bitrate×minutes and minutes×WPM. Useful. Not an export guarantee.
Why we still keep them
Creators ask these questions before they have Studio access, or when they want a second pass of the math without a spreadsheet. That is legitimate. The illegitimate version is dressing the same form up as “AI rank prediction” or “VidIQ alternative with the same data.” We would rather have similar-looking calculators that tell the truth than a smaller set that still over-claims.
If you only need one money tool, use Earnings plus Studio RPM. If you only need Partner Program progress, use the monetization tracker as a gap sketch. You do not need to open all fifteen.
