About the Audio Converter
?What the audio converter does
It changes an audio file from one format to another. You add up to 8 files, choose MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A or FLAC as the output, choose a bitrate where one applies, and convert. If you add a video file, it keeps the sound and drops the picture.
Everything runs in your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. The files are not uploaded. The first conversion downloads the FFmpeg engine, which is about 30 MB, and later ones in the same visit reuse it.

Add your files
Drop up to 8 audio or video files, each up to about 200 MB.
Choose the output format
MP3 works everywhere. WAV is uncompressed. OGG is open. M4A is AAC. FLAC is lossless.
Choose the bitrate
For MP3, OGG and M4A pick 128, 192 (the default), 256 or 320 kbps. WAV and FLAC have no bitrate setting.
Convert and download
Download each file, or all of them. Your browser may ask to allow several downloads.

Convert the WAV to FLAC. It decodes back to the same audio.
♥Limits to know about
Lossy formats lose detail
MP3, OGG and M4A discard some data, and converting one lossy file to another loses more.
Size limit
About 200 MB per file. Large files may fail on a phone.
Only your own files
It does not download or rip audio from streaming sites.
