Lessons teach keys. This page is for volume: common words, creator captions, short posts, blog-shaped paragraphs, number-heavy lines, a weak-key focus, or a custom paste up to a couple of thousand characters. Finish a passage and the next one loads so you can stay in the chair.
Session stats (average WPM, accuracy, characters, passages) are for this sitting. They are not a leaderboard and not a certificate. If you need history across days, use Typing Progress — still local to this browser.
When to use custom text
Paste a description you are about to publish, a newsletter intro, or a script draft. You will feel the URLs, timestamps, and product names you actually trip on. Do not paste secrets; this is still a web page, even if the text does not go to our server.
Weak keys
If the heatmap on Progress says you miss C, M, or the right-hand punctuation, run Weak Key Focus instead of another 60-second test. Testing the same memorized paragraph is how WPM inflates without transferable skill.
New to home row? Start with lessons. For the longer argument: touch typing for creators.
