Good to know
- Take the starting and current subscriber counts from the same source, such as the Subscribers figure in YouTube Studio Analytics, and say how many days lie between them. 28 days is Studio’s default period.
- The projection draws a straight line: it adds the same daily gain for every day ahead. Real growth comes in bursts, so treat far-off dates as a rough idea, not a forecast.
- Subscribers gained is net: it counts people who subscribed minus people who unsubscribed in the period.
- The percentage is the gain divided by where you started. It is large for small channels because the starting number is small, so compare it with your own earlier periods.

About the Channel Growth Calculator
?What the growth calculator does
You enter your subscribers at the start of a period, your subscribers now, and the days between. The tool works out how many you gained and your gain per day, week and month, and then shows where a straight line at that pace would take you.
The projection is the same daily gain added for each day ahead. Real growth comes in bursts, so it shows an idea, not a forecast. Everything runs in your browser.

Your pace
1,200 subscribers at the start, 1,560 now, over 28 days.

A straight-line outlook
The same pace for 90 more days.
Example:
1,560 + 12.86 × 90 = about 2,717 subscribers.
A goal

Example:
3,440 ÷ 12.86 = 268 days.
♥Limits to know about
A line, not a forecast
Growth is uneven, so far-off dates are only a rough idea.
Net gain
Subscribers lost in the period are subtracted from those gained.
Percent flatters small channels
A small starting count makes the percentage large.
