Before you publish
- Only use hashtags that describe the video. Unrelated ones can get a video removed from search.
- Hashtags go in the description or the title. The Tags field in YouTube Studio is separate and takes no # sign.
- Avoid empty tags such as #fyp or #viral. They tell viewers nothing about your video.
- Hashtags cannot contain spaces or punctuation, and they cannot be only numbers. This tool joins words and capitalizes each one so they stay readable.
- Use the same series or channel hashtag on related videos so viewers can find the rest of them.

About the Hashtag Generator
?What the hashtag generator does
You type what your video is about, and the tool suggests hashtags: your topic as one hashtag, pairs and single words from it, a tag for the video type, and any keywords, series name or channel name you add. You choose the ones to use and copy them.
It does not use YouTube data, trends or search volume, so it cannot say which hashtags are popular. Use only hashtags that describe the video.
Everything runs in your browser. What you type is not sent to our server.
→How to get YouTube hashtags in 4 steps
Describe the video
A short phrase such as “healthy meal prep”. Topics that start with “how to” or end with “review” are tidied so the hashtag reads well.
Choose the video type
Tutorial, review, or something else. It adds a format hashtag such as #Tutorial or #Review.
Add a series or channel name
Optional. They become hashtags without placeholders, so you can reuse them across videos.
Pick and copy
The first five are selected. Click to add or remove others, check the limit, then copy and paste them at the end of your description.
✓What is in the tool
Readable hashtags
Words are joined with capitals, like #HealthyMealPrep, and known names keep their style, like #iPhone16.
Your own names
Series, channel and keywords are added as real hashtags, never as placeholders.
Click to choose
Select exactly the hashtags you want, in order.
Limit check
Warns above 15, because YouTube ignores all hashtags past that, and shows which three appear above the title.
One-click copy
Copies the chosen hashtags as one line.
No score
Nothing here can predict which hashtag helps, so there is no rating.
★Examples
A tutorial
Choose Tutorial or how-to.
Example:
Topic “healthy meal prep” gives #HealthyMealPrep, #HealthyMeal, #MealPrep, #Healthy, #Meal and #Prep, plus #Tutorial and #HowTo.
A how-to topic
The “how to” is dropped so the hashtag is not awkward.
Example:
Topic “how to grow on youtube” gives #GrowOnYouTube, #Grow and #YouTube.
A review
A trailing “review” is removed from the main hashtag and added as its own.
Example:
Topic “iPhone 16 review” gives #iPhone16, #iPhone and #Review.
♥Limits to know about
Suggestions, not research
The tool does not know what is trending or how many videos use a hashtag.
Hashtags are a small extra
Title, thumbnail and the video itself matter far more.
Keep them truthful
Only use hashtags that describe your video. Unrelated ones break YouTube policy.
